Human Resources Generalist (Part-Time)

At Quest Diagnostics Incorporated, we understand urgency. But more than speed, we focus our energies on accuracy. Currently we are seeking a Generalist of Human Resources (Part-Time).

As a Generalist of Human Resources, you will be responsible for maintaining and coordinating policies and programs for a specific client group covering the following: employment, employee relations, wage and salary administration, placement and staff member services. You will perform the daily activities as described below. This position will work 16 hours a week, Monday thru Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Guidance with employee relations issues for specific client groups including counseling supervisors, and reviewing documentation to ensure consistency with our policies and procedures.
· Participate in Exit Process.
· Coordinate and review performance appraisals and associated recommendations for salary increases to assure adherence to budget and guidelines. 
· Coordinate special projects as assigned.

Education:
B.A. degree

Work Experience:
· Must have 2 to 3 years of human resources experience including familiarity with applicable state and federal regulations.
· Must have knowledge of HR programs including payroll and benefits. 
· Strong computer knowledge including PeopleSoft and Kronos. 
· Strong Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Internet. 
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all employees and at all levels in the organization.

Special Requirements:
The ability to handle deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast paced organization is a must.
