Job Description:
Performs patient care duties in the inpatient setting while providing support to the other nursing staff and ancillary departments. Provides care to medical and post-surgical patients. Serves in a leadership role on the unit and for the facility. The Charge Nurse facilitates patient care, anticipates patient needs, ensures appropriate documentation has been completed, and all care provided in an appropriate timely manner. The Charge Nurse will possess and utilize effective critical care skills including advanced pharmacology, assessment skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills for the provision of safe and quality care for all patients.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN required
- Current Kansas RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
- PALS/PEARS certification within 1st year of hire
